Q Is it possible for Samba to share file systems that have been mounted using NFS?
A Yes.
Q How many simultaneous connections can be supported by a Samba server?
A In theory, there is no limit. In practice, the limit is determined by the server's hardware, specifically the total amount of available RAM. It can also depend on the amount of activity that you expect from the smbd processes. One situation in which a smbd process grabs a large amount of CPU time is when a Windows client is running a Web browser and caching files to a network drive.
